The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments won the Arab Government Excellence Award, in its second session, as the best government development initiative for the project "Computerization of Bahraini courts and the complete transformation from a paper system to an electronic one".
The announcement of this victory came at a ceremony honoring the winners of the award, which was held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the sisterly United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, and in cooperation with the League of Arab States.
On this occasion, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawda said, "This national achievement reflects the level of electronic transformation achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain within the framework of the efforts made by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister." May God protect him, to develop government performance and raise the level of services provided to citizens, residents and various vital sectors through the use of information technology.
The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments won the Excellence Award for e-Government for the best integrative government services for individuals or businesses, “Judicial Judgment Enforcement Service”, during a ceremony honoring the winners of the ninth edition of the 2017 eGovernment Excellence Award, which was held today under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology.
The award was received by Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, expressing the ministry’s pride in the efforts of all those who participated and contributed to achieving this distinction.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments was honored for excellence in the Bahrain e-Government Index by obtaining an advanced ranking in this index, during the Bahrain International eGovernment Forum 2018
