With the support and follow-up of the Coordination Committee headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, in cooperation with the Supreme Judicial Council, launched an information and electronic services system for filing commercial cases in the first degree, This is in cooperation with the Information and eGovernment Authority, which will be implemented on Sunday via the e-government portal https://www.bahrain.bh.

This came in the presence of His Excellency Counselor Abdullah Al-Buainain, Vice President of the Supreme Judicial Council and President of the Court of Cassation, His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and Mr. Mohammed Al-Qaid, Executive Chairman of the Information and eGovernment Authority.


Counselor Abdullah Al-Buainain expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and the Information and eGovernment Authority, for the implementation of electronic systems and services for commercial courts, which establish the implementation of more digital transformation projects.

On the other hand, Counselor Abdullah Al-Buainain revealed the adoption of a new system for managing commercial court sessions, whereby the age of the commercial case has been determined with a maximum of 10 sessions and no more than 6 months, while the postponement is only for exceptional reasons specified by a decision, in addition to the implementation of the system A department to prepare the case and prepare it for pleading, in a way that contributes to developing the work of the courts and enhancing the speed of adjudication of cases, taking into account the fulfillment of guarantees of justice, which is one of its main requirements for expediting the settlement of lawsuits.

In addition, the Minister of Justice stressed the importance of this advanced step by adopting the electronic filing of commercial lawsuits, which constitutes a fundamental development of the commercial court system, which comes within the strategy of electronic transformation of justice services, which aims to raise the efficiency of the apparatus auxiliary to the judiciary, and to develop the electronic services provided to the commercial sector and facilitate it in front of lawyers And litigants through the use of modern technology, in order to achieve the aspirations of the Kingdom of Bahrain's economic vision 2030, which is based on the principles of sustainability, competitiveness and justice.

The Minister of Justice appreciated the great support provided by the Coordination Committee headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, for the digital transformation projects in the justice sector, which resulted in the achievement of many development initiatives qualitatively for the judicial services provided For citizens and residents.

The minister pointed out that the electronic system and the electronic services that have been launched provide integrated services to commercial courts, starting with filing a lawsuit, paying its fees, and sending judicial announcements, with the possibility of submitting all memoranda and requests at all stages of the case, and leading to the issuance of judgments.

For his part, the CEO of the Information and eGovernment Authority praised the directives of the team, first pillar of His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, to enhance cooperation and communication with all government agencies, noting that the launch of this electronic system expresses the authority’s full commitment to its sound directives, as well as its endeavor. Continuous efforts towards achieving the objectives of its strategy aimed at the electronic transformation of all government services.

The Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments issued a new Resolution No. (3) of 2020 issuing a list of procedures for commercial cases.

It is noteworthy that the electronic services related to the justice sector available through the e-government portal provide all services related to court administration as well as implementation management.
