5/3/2020 Assistant Undersecretary of Justice: Private notaries can "move" to complete notarial transactions outside their offices

The Assistant Undersecretary for Courts Affairs and Documentation at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Muhammad Abdul Rahim Bujiri, confirmed that the private notary service is available to individuals, institutions and companies during and after working hours.

The Assistant Undersecretary of Justice pointed out that it is possible for the private notary to move to conduct authentication transactions outside their offices, noting that the directory of accredited private notaries and their contact information is available on the national e-government portal www.bahrain.bh.

Bucceri indicated that work is underway to complete the licensing procedures for the fourth batch of private notaries after they pass the requirements and conditions of the program established to license the work of a private notary, as they will start their work after taking the oath before the Minister of Justice.

It is worth noting that the private notary service allows the auditors, including citizens, residents, companies and institutions, to conduct many transactions through legal and licensed lawyers, as the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments issued decisions authorizing 33 legal persons to practice the work of a notary to document and certify documents in both Arabic and English.
