15/8/2021 “justice”: Completion of equipping the headquarters of the Correctional Justice Courts

The Assistant Undersecretary for Courts and Documentation Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Muhammad Abdul Rahim Bujairi, announced that the headquarters of the Correctional Justice Courts for Children had been completed, in preparation for implementing the Children’s Correctional Justice Law and protecting them from abuse, as the law will enter into force on August 18.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Courts and Documentation Affairs expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning for the completion of this project, which took into account in its design criteria the provision of privacy required for this type of case to suit the situation of the child, the most important of which is the psychological and social aspects, according to the best engineering specifications in proportion to the conditions for the functioning of the child. Child-related lawsuits, appreciating the role of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Public Prosecution in implementing this project.
Bucheery pointed out that the children's correctional justice courts are separated from other courts to give them more privacy during the performance of their tasks and the presence of children and their families.
He stressed the importance of the Children’s Restorative Justice Law and its protection from ill-treatment, which is one of the fruits of the reformist approach of His Majesty the King, may God protect him, and a qualitative addition to the modern criminal legislation approved by the Kingdom of Bahrain, in accordance with relevant international principles and standards, especially the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
