09/19/2021 Attorney General: Implementing the new enforcement system within 6 months

Judge Issa Sami Al-Mannai, Undersecretary for Justice and Islamic Affairs, said that according to the decree-law regarding implementation in civil and commercial matters, the implementation of the new implementation system will be started within six months from the date of issuance of the law, as this requires a fundamental preparation of the technical and procedural infrastructure, and in cooperation with the Council The Supreme Judicial Council and the Information and e-Government Authority.
And the attorney general indicated in a statement to Al-Ayyam that the decree-law on civil and commercial implementation stipulated in its third article that the provisions of this law “apply to the existing implementation files before its entry into force, and the status of these files will be reconciled according to its provisions within three months from the date of its implementation,” while “The application of the provisions of the law does not affect the existing seizure procedures and the sale procedures that have been initiated,” provided that the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments issues a decision on the mechanism of reconciling the status of these files.
He pointed out that the existing implementation procedures will continue in accordance with the mechanisms in place, until the completion of reconciling the status of the existing files in accordance with the procedures that will be announced during the three months following the six months from the date of the law’s issuance, that is, after its implementation, noting that this period will allow a sufficient period To reconcile the situation and smooth transition to the new system.
