2/11/2022 14 new private notaries start their work after taking the oath before the Minister of Justice

14 jurists and lawyers took the oath before His Excellency Mr. Nawaf bin Muhammad Al-Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, after completing the requirements and conditions of the program prescribed for licensing the practice of private notary business (private notary) in the Arabic language for the fifth batch, and granting them a license certificate to practice notary work, valid for a period Three years to be renewed according to the necessary conditions and requirements.
His Excellency the Minister of Justice appreciated the efforts that contributed to the success of this initiative aimed at developing documentation services through partnership with the private sector, in light of Decree-Law No. 37 of 2017 amending some provisions of Decree-Law No. 14 of 1971 regarding documentation, which is one of the important initiatives within Legal development projects, and keeping pace with new requirements in all development fields, including documentation, which is one of the pivotal judicial sectors.
His Excellency the Minister of Justice affirmed the continuation of work to strengthen the role of the private notary public in providing documentation services, as it provides vital advantages based on accelerating documentation work and facilitating its procedures for the beneficiaries of citizens, residents, companies and institutions by finding multiple options in terms of time and place.
And according to Ministerial Resolution No. 76 of 2017 in light of the amendment to some provisions of Decree-Law No. (14) of 1971 regarding documentation, the private notary public (in Arabic) may carry out the documentation work stipulated in the law, with the exception of transactions related to real estate and agencies related to disposal and management.
It is worth noting that the private notary service allows citizens, residents, companies and institutions to conduct many transactions, and the notary office at the Ministry of Justice undertakes technical, financial and administrative oversight over the work of the private notary public.
