His Excellency the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, revealed that the number of electronic judicial transactions completed in the year 2020 AD reached 1861,102, through the electronic services provided by the Ministry through the national e-government portal bahrain.bh.

His Excellency the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments affirmed continuing to implement electronic transformation projects in joint cooperation with the Information and eGovernment Authority, and work to develop electronic services provided to citizens and residents, companies and institutions, to continuously improve the level of performance efficiency, effectiveness of procedures and the quality of these services, based on the supreme goal of promoting Access to justice.

In this context, His Excellency announced that the Ministry has completed the automation of all procedures before the civil, commercial and Sharia courts, and work is underway on projects to develop electronic transformation related to court procedures in cooperation with the Information and eGovernment Authority, adding that the unified payment service that will be launched during the coming period will make a fundamental shift. By providing an electronic platform to pay all the amounts due or required.

His Excellency the Minister expressed his deep thanks and appreciation for the great efforts made by the Information and eGovernment Authority, the work team at the Ministry’s Information Systems Department, court departments, implementation, and minors ’affairs and funds for their role in implementing the electronic transformation of justice services, appreciating the technical support provided by the Information and eGovernment Authority. It is still within the framework of developing electronic services in the justice sector, praising the role of judges and lawyers in the continuous development of electronic services through the observations and suggestions they present.

For his part, the Director of the Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Dr.Ahmed Sweileh, stated that the electronic transactions that were recorded in the year 2020 AD, amounting to 1861,102 transactions (one million eight hundred and sixty-one thousand one hundred and two), included lawsuits services that allow for civil, commercial and legitimate lawsuits. Submitting notes and requests, inquiring about requests, submitting expert reports before the courts, paying criminal orders, and reviewing the case file status including criminal cases.
