3/22/2021 Director of Courts Administration: More than 850,000 announcements and speeches were notified in 2020

The Director of the Courts Department at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Nayef Khalifa Al-Thawadi, stated that the number of announcements and letters related to the work of the courts issued in the year 2020 AD amounted to 856,389, based on the decisions issued by all courts of various degrees.
The Director of the Courts Administration said that the advertisements and letters directed to litigants or the relevant authorities are made via electronic means, whether through text messages, post offices, or an electronic correspondence system.
Al-Thawadi mentioned that in addition to the text messaging service related to the electronic justice services provided by the ministry through the national e-government portal, the Ministry’s Information Systems Department has developed an electronic correspondence system with many ministries and relevant authorities, as it enables users to easily send and receive incoming and outgoing letters and reply It must be submitted directly through the system, without the need for paper correspondence, which contributed to developing the quality of performance and the speed of completion of these tasks in light of the decisions issued by the courts.
On the other hand, Al-Thawadi indicated that the court administration has received more than 4,000 e-mails since the beginning of the Corona pandemic (Covid 19), and they were answered and followed up according to the type of request or inquiry submitted, as part of the implementation of the precautionary plan in the justice sector to address this pandemic, In addition to the adoption of a hotline to receive customers' calls and inquiries, as there are approximately 640 calls per day.
Al-Thawadi pointed out that the courts administration continued to provide all its services during the pandemic without interruption, taking into account the precautionary measures, by using electronic means to receive the requests submitted to the courts administration, in addition to the electronic justice services available through the national e-government portal.
He said that this included covering all the requirements of criminal courts, including receiving notes, requests, and appeals, as well as requests submitted to Sharia courts, in particular the preparation of marriage and divorce documents and the transactions resulting from legal proofs, testimonies, etc., in addition to the completion of many requests submitted to issue legal documents related to rights. Financial requirements for all individuals and institutions, and verification of the completion of their requirements, to be presented to the Sharia courts for approval.
