24/4/2021 Minister of Justice: Creating new advantages for electronic services in the justice sector

His Excellency the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, announced the introduction of new advantages for electronic services provided in the justice sector, through joint work with the Information and eGovernment Authority, within the framework of implementing electronic transformation development projects related to court procedures.
His Excellency the Minister of Justice said that the most prominent of these amendments that were activated through the electronic system is to allow the addition of the addresses of the parties (the plaintiff and the defendant) outside the Kingdom of Bahrain in the case-filing service and sending advertisements to them, whether by electronic means or by postal messages.
His Excellency the Minister of Justice stated that one of the important advantages that have been included in the electronic services is the ability to verify the correctness of the address entered by the plaintiff during the filing of cases if it is inside the Kingdom.
His Excellency the Minister of Justice also indicated to expand the scope of requests submitted before the courts by permitting the submission of requests from parties outside the case, such as the extra-adversarial objection and the joining and offensive intervention.

He stated that the new additions included an increase in the size of attachments in the service of filing lawsuits, submitting requests and submitting notes to 5 MB, after it was 2 MB, which will contribute to increasing the efficiency of the service provided and accommodating a large number of attachments in a single case. The Ministry also provides a program on its website. Especially for file compression.

In this context, His Excellency the Minister of Justice expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the judges and lawyers for their role in the process of continuous development of electronic services through their valuable suggestions and opinions, noting that many of these amendments and advantages are due to observations and ideas submitted by the judges and lawyers.
