His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Awqaf, Chairman of the State Council on the Funds of Minors and their Equivalents, received members of the State Council on the Funds of Minors and their Equivalents, in the presence of the Assistant Attorney General, Counselor Wael Rashid Bualay, and Judge Issa Sami Al-Mannai, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Justice and Affairs. The Islamic Council, Vice-President of the Council, and Ms. Dana Khamis Al-Zayani, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Planning, Family Reconciliation and Alimony, on the occasion of laying the foundation stone for the Marbad Garden Villas project.
The meeting was attended by the members of the Council, Mr. Reda Abdullah Faraj, Mr. Jassem Ahmed Al-Mahaza, Engineer Ibrahim Hassan Al-Hawaj, Mr. Abdul-Jalil Ali Al-Hayki, Engineer Naji Sabt Salem, Mr. Ali Hassan Al-Khazali, and the Director of Minors’ Affairs and Funds, Mr. Ahmed Yousef Khairy, and the Secretary of the Council, Mr. Issa Al-Mousa, and a number of ministry employees.

This project comes with the efforts of the Department of Minors’ Funds and Affairs, under the sponsorship and supervision of the State Council on the funds of minors and those in their jurisdiction, by exploiting the land located in the Jasra area and owned by the administration, which preparations have started for since 2019, with the aim of investing it in a way that achieves the best returns for the benefit of the estates of minors and their like and supporting the requirements of their future.
The project implementation work started in early May 2021, and the entire project is expected to be delivered in March 2023.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa honored Counselor Wael Rashid Bu Alai for his efforts in laying the basic building blocks for this project, and for all his distinguished works during his tenure as Vice President of the State Council on the funds of minors and their like during the period from 2016 to 2020. By honoring the members of the State Council for the money of minors and the like for their tangible and fruitful efforts in serving minors during the previous and current sessions of the Council, and for their practical experience in the investment and real estate field, which had a clear reflection on the success of this project.
The Undersecretary for Justice and Islamic Affairs said that the launch of this urban and development project is the result of joint cooperation between the ministry and the private sector, in line with the aspirations of Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030, indicating that the profits of this investment project will be allocated to the benefit of the estates of minors and those in their judgment.
He stated that the total cost of the project exceeds eight million dinars, which will be built on a land area of 33,196 square meters, noting that the Marbad Garden Villas project includes the construction of 43 housing units and a set of facilities with the best standards of quality and design in accordance with a modern lifestyle.
He stressed that this project comes as a continuation of the State Council's diligent and continuous work on the funds of minors to contribute to the development of the investments of minors' funds and diversify the investment basket to serve the children of Bahrain, including minors and the like, asking God Almighty to crown these endeavors and efforts with payment and success.
Representatives of the contracted companies praised the importance of this project because of its special nature and their contribution to the fullest implementation of the investment aspect, as they provided great support and assistance in enriching the project and reducing costs, which would increase the benefit to minors and the like.
The project is managed by Esnad Contracting Company, while Dar Al Khaleej Engineering Company is responsible for the design and advisory supervision, and Ahmed Omar Contracting Company is responsible for the construction and construction of the Marbad Garden Villas project.
