The Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments held its remote meeting today, headed by Ms. Dana Khamis Al-Zayani, Undersecretary for Planning, Family Reconciliation and Alimony, member of the Supreme Council for Women, head of the Equal Opportunities Committee in the Ministry; Where the members and members of the committee conveyed the highest congratulations and blessings to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King of the country, President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, on the occasion of the twenty-year anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women.

The Undersecretary for Planning, Family Reconciliation and Alimony, Member of the Supreme Council for Women and Chairman of the Equal Opportunities Committee, praised the pioneering historical achievements made by the Supreme Council for Women during the two decades of its establishment in terms of supporting the advancement and empowerment of women at various levels, as Bahraini women provided pioneering roles in all development paths.

The Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry of Justice discussed, during the meeting, a number of initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency of services provided to citizens and residents, taking into account the needs of employees and beneficiaries of both sexes, in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Women as a key and leading partner through coordination between the two sides in various women's issues, and continuing to adopt The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments for many of the visions and initiatives of the Supreme Council for Women as a regional house of expertise in all matters concerned with empowering women, and highlighting the progress and competitiveness of Bahraini women as an equal partner in national development.
During the meeting, the committee continued to activate aspects of developing mechanisms for providing family reconciliation services by following up on the executive plan of the unified framework for family counseling and awareness services “20 priority programs for the year 2020” of the Supreme Council for Women, and the items included in the plan that have entered into force and items that need follow-up to be completed With the aim of facilitating families’ access to family reconciliation services, and reviewing training plans to build capacities and develop the skills of workers in family service centers and offices.
The meeting also discussed a proposal to develop organizational procedural guides for the work of the Family Reconciliation Office and its branches, and to launch awareness campaigns to introduce the role of conciliation offices and family guidance centers with the implementation of public meetings, field visits, lectures and awareness workshops on strengthening family cohesion, in addition to finding a special budget to meet the needs of women in The ministry is within the plans and projects of the Equal Opportunities Committee, in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Women, the main partner, to move forward in strengthening coordination between the two sides in accordance with clear frameworks, and to conduct the necessary reviews, evaluation and impact measurement, in order to reach the desired common goals.
