30/08/2021 Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowment Minister highlights new strategic initiatives

The Cabinet, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has today approved initiatives to further strengthen the appeal for justice for the years 2021-2025.
Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, hailed the endorsement of the initiatives, which are based on several pillars, including unifying the directions of verdicts, achieving justice, and the rule of law with multiple tools.
He lauded the move which aims to promote comprehensive and wide-ranging justice, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to develop judicial and legal work in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The drive also translates the principes stipulated in the 2030 Bahrain Economic Vision, aimed to ensure free competition in all transactions and provide the highest levels of transparency and integrity in the public and private sectors.
“These strategic initiatives are in line with HM the King’s modernising approach, which was adopted by the Executive Committee in 2017”, said the minister, stressing the strides achieved so far These include automating all procedures before the various courts, reducing the period of the lawsuit, developing new means and paths for resolving disputes, developing existing mechanisms, and adopting the case management system.
He said that these strategic initiatives, which will be implemented over a period of five years, are built on basic and comprehensive pillars aimed at developing the legal and judicial work environment and enhancing justice in the Kingdomof Bahrain, These consist in strengthening the role of licensors to resolve disputes, seeking the assistance of the private sector, serving the public, increasing the ability to predict judgments, developing judicial procedures and digital courts, promoting the practice of the legal profession, enhancing penal procedures, and creating an environment for family and child protection.
