His Excellency the Minister of Justice said that the justice sector witnessed in the year 2021 the realization of many development and qualitative initiatives, thanks to the support and support of His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, may God protect him, based on His Highness’s forward-looking vision to shape the future and meet the requirements of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
On the most prominent projects accomplished during this year, His Excellency the Minister of Justice indicated the achievement of a radical transformation in the level of justice procedures before the courts, as the automation of all procedures before the civil, commercial and Sharia courts of all degrees, in cooperation with the Supreme Judicial Council and the Information and e-Government Authority, was completed.
He pointed to the issuance of a number of important laws, which included the development of advanced legal and procedural systems, and included the procedural system for implementation, the field of expertise before the judiciary, the availability of the use of the English language before the courts according to specific requirements in the event that the parties agreed on this, and the expansion of the jurisdiction of the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution Ltd. To disputes between companies, in which the value of the claim exceeds 500,000 dinars, in addition to the issuance of the Law on Corrective Justice for Children and their Protection from Abuse, which created an integrated system to deal with the child in cases where his behavior or his surrounding circumstances constitute a danger to him, as well as the creation of Additional and alternative corrective measures appropriate to the needs of children for their rehabilitation and reintegration into society by creating a supportive environment for children's care and correcting their behaviour.
