His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, met in his office today with Dr. Hatem Ali, Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in the Gulf Cooperation Council.
During the meeting, they reviewed the existing cooperation in the fight against crime, especially with regard to combating money laundering and illegal financial transfers, and discussed ways to enhance criminal prosecution and national and international cooperation in this regard, by benefiting from the cumulative experiences of the United Nations and its related programmes.
His Excellency the Minister of Justice noted the joint cooperation between the Ministry and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in the areas of judicial development and legal training by benefiting from qualitative and specialized expertise in these sectors.
