Within the framework of the keenness of the Public Prosecution and the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments to effectively implement the mediation system in criminal matters and to complement the previously organized training courses and workshops, the second virtual discussion session was held today among the members of the Public Prosecution and the advisors of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and approved criminal mediators to conduct mediation work. .
The seminar was moderated by Mr. Nasser Ibrahim Al-Sheeb, Chief Prosecutor in charge of supervising the implementation of restorative justice systems, and Mr. Wael Anis Ahmed, assistant advisor at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and addressed several axes related to the mediation system, beginning with the emphasis on the importance of the role of the criminal mediator in the mediation system; Being the basis for the application of this new system in Bahraini legislation within the restorative justice programmes, it also touched on the procedural and legal rules for this system and the societal goals desired from the application of this system.
