29/6/2022 Minister of Justice: A judicial legal protocol between Bahrain and Egypt to enhance cooperation

His Excellency Mr. Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, stressed the importance of strengthening and developing the tracks of historical cooperation relations that bring together the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt at all levels, noting the need to continue building on what has been achieved of joint cooperation and push it towards a broader horizon in various fields. Especially the field of justice and the judiciary in line with modern and contemporary changes and meets the common aspirations of the two countries under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Great King of the country, may God protect him, and his brother, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt.

Al-Maawda pointed out the keenness of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt headed by Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, to develop prospects for cooperation between the two countries in various fields, for the benefit of the And the best of luck to the peoples of the two brotherly countries.

This came after His Excellency Mr. Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and His Excellency Mr. Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, signed a protocol on legal and judicial cooperation between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the sidelines of the visit of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Al-Maawdah noted that the protocol comes from the two brotherly countries’ belief in the importance of exchanging expertise and information in the legal and judicial fields, with special attention to training and qualifying judicial and legal cadres in the two countries, and benefiting from the experiences of the two countries.

He referred to the objectives of the protocol represented in strengthening joint cooperation in the field of preparing and drafting legislation, training lawyers working in legal departments in various government agencies, as well as supporting joint cooperation in preparing and implementing programs to support the capabilities of judges and cadres working in this field, in addition to joint cooperation in the field of technical expertise. Assistance to the judiciary, and the exchange of legal and judicial expertise between the judges of the two countries through international and regional forums, reciprocal visits and the exchange of judicial rulings.
