This came in response to the participation of the Bahraini delegation yesterday in the discussion of the fourth national report within the universal periodic review mechanism of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Mr. Nawaf Mohammed Al-Maawda also stressed that the most important characteristic of the fourth national report, which was presented by the Bahraini delegation before the Human Rights Council in Geneva, is its comprehensiveness and depth, as the numbers, statistics and results speak for themselves in several areas, including those related to the promotion of criminal justice and law enforcement according to legislation and mechanisms on the At the level of the Middle East region, as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Higher Coordinating Committee for Human Rights prepared this report months ago in cooperation with the relevant ministries and institutions, including the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments.
He praised its preparation methodology based on benefiting from the previous and accumulated experiences in the field of preparing national reports before the universal periodic review of the Human Rights Council, and its keenness to indicate the achievements whose impact can be measured and to identify their results and repercussions on issues of political, economic and social development and support for the values of coexistence, tolerance and civil peace, in addition to To strengthen the rule of law in a way that incorporates human rights values, as stated in the Kingdom's constitution, relevant laws, and international treaties ratified by Bahrain.
His Excellency the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments concluded his statement by stressing that the success achieved by the Bahraini delegation in showing the true picture of the human rights situation in Bahrain before the Human Rights Council in Geneva is an incentive to continue making integrated and coordinated efforts to promote these rights.
