5/27/2020 “Justice” issues a guideline on the online civil and commercial litigation service

The Assistant Undersecretary for Courts Affairs and Documentation at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Muhammad Abdul Rahim Bujiri, stated that the Ministry has issued a guide on the service of filing civil and commercial lawsuits of all degrees electronically within the framework of digital transformation in the justice sector, presented through the national e-government portal www.bahrain.bh.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Courts Affairs and Documentation affirmed the Ministry's keenness to enhance the utilization of modern technology in a manner that contributes to facilitating judicial services in front of lawyers, litigants and auditors, pointing out that the guide is available on the website of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments www.moj.gov.bh.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Justice expressed the Ministry's thanks and appreciation to the Bahrain Bar Association and Young Lawyers for their development proposals for electronic services, which contributed to strengthening the informative content of the guide.
For his part, the Director of the Courts Administration, Nayef Al-Thawadi, said that the Ministry has provided all lawyers' offices with electronic copies of the guidebook, which includes a detailed explanation of the steps for the service of filing lawsuits in all their degrees electronically, and includes civil, commercial, administrative, labor and rental lawsuits, noting that the guide has singled out a section Especially for serving requests during the course of the case.
Al-Thawadi stated that the guide has been prepared to be more comprehensive to cover the most technical aspects and basic requirements for using electronic means to file a lawsuit and submit requests to the courts during the course of the case.
