Dana Khamis Al Zayani, Courts, Family Reconciliation and Alimony Undersecretary at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, member of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), chaired the first meeting of the Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry for this year.

The meeting focused on the committee's 2024 executive plan, aiming to integrate women’s needs, and increase their contributions to the Justice Ministry’s various directorates, in coordination and partnership with the SCW and the Civil Service Bureau.

The undersecretary, who is the panel chairperson, underlined the Justice Ministry’s keenness to ensure equal opportunities for all its staff regarding training, scholarships and promotions.

She also affirmed the Justice Ministry’s interest in continuing to improve women’s work environment, in accordance with the programmes of the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women.

Al Zayani also praised the role played by women in the judicial sector, being essential partners in the process of judicial development.
