29/4/2020, in cooperation between the "Justice" and the "Supreme Council for Women" ... Finalizing the transfer of family reconciliation services to the virtual platform

The Family Reconciliation Office of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments began providing electronic services to the Bahraini family, after the Supreme Council for Women and the Ministry of Justice announced at the beginning of this month the automation of all family reconciliation office procedures to ensure the continuation of providing its services remotely through the website of the Ministry of Justice.

Soon, the service will be added to the online application of the "Mutakatifin" campaign, which was recently launched by the Council, in order to facilitate families' access to the office's services and through the same mechanism.

It should be noted that the Family Reconciliation Office works to provide family counseling to settle disputes and address disputes through conciliation before resorting to the courts, in a framework of privacy and smoothly and easily to reach marital reconciliation, as much as possible. In the event that efforts do not result in settling the dispute amicably, the office shall work on sending the request to the Sharia court to proceed with the judicial procedures.

On this occasion, His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, explained that the joint cooperation between the Supreme Council for Women and the Ministry came in the context of what the judicial and judicial system in the Kingdom of Bahrain initiated by transferring most of its operations electronically and providing its services on the virtual platform to facilitate procedures before litigants. And to ensure their continued access to justice.

His Excellency the Minister of Justice indicated that the automation of the work of the Family Reconciliation Office stems from the keenness of the two parties, the Ministry and the Council, on the importance of continuing the services provided to the Bahraini family aimed at achieving its stability, especially in light of the conditions that the country is going through that require containing its social repercussions to mitigate its risks to family life.

For her part, Professor Hala Al-Ansari, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women, said that through this procedure the Council continues its endeavors to follow up the implementation of the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women (2019-2022), and specifically, the axis of family stability, which includes the initiative to develop and improve the services of family reconciliation offices. By settling family disputes amicably and working to resolve their disputes by mutual consent and amicable agreement.

Al-Ansari indicated that the automation of the services of the Family Reconciliation Office will contribute to the development and diversification of the services of the "remote advisor" program that was recently announced by the Council, which provides a range of services, such as family, legal and economic counseling for Bahraini women, in the context of the campaign "Together ... for the Safety of Bahrain" Which was inaugurated by the Council since the middle of last March and which aims to contribute to strengthening the fields of work among the groups of society in the spirit of the one "Bahrain team" to serve the women who are the breadwinners for their families, in a manner that ensures the provision of their emergency needs and securing psychological, social and economic stability until the country overcomes this transient crisis.
