10/21/2022 Bahrain participates in the meeting of Arab justice ministers in Rabat

His Excellency Judge Issa Sami Al-Mannai, Undersecretary of Justice and Islamic Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, participated in the 38th session of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers, which was held in the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco.
The meeting discussed many common axes, including the activation of joint Arab agreements, such as the Arab Convention for Combating Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing, and the Arab Convention against Information Technology Crimes.
He also discussed the issue of criminalizing ransom payments and strengthening Arab and international cooperation in the fight against terrorism, the Arab Convention against Corruption, the draft Arab Convention on the Status of Refugees in Arab Countries, and the draft Arab Convention on the Protection of Personal Data.
It also dealt with preparing a draft Arab indicative law to prevent hate speech, preparing a draft Arab indicative law to protect and assist internally displaced persons in Arab countries, preparing a draft unified Arab model law on narcotics and psychotropic substances, preparing a draft Arab indicative law to protect children from recruitment in armed conflicts, and preparing a draft protocol Arabic to reduce the illicit spread of weapons in the Arab region, supplementing the Arab Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, and the draft Arab guiding law to support the rights of the elderly.
And participated in the activities of the session (38) ministers of justice in the Arab countries, as well as the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers and the Gulf Cooperation Council participated as an observer.
